Life Skills

New U Programme

We started 2013 with the New U Programme. Through this programme, our pupils learn to set personal goals for the year and develop their self-management skills. It is also a platform for teachers and pupils to build relationships. Our pupils participated in various activities such as classroom decoration and interaction games. Primary One pupils were also given a school tour to familiarize themselves with the new environment.

FTGP Interaction Game

Form Teacher Guidance Period (FTGP) aims to provide quality interaction time between form teachers and pupils and equip pupils with social and emotional competencies which cover the five domains of Self-Awareness, Self-Management, Social Awareness, Relationship Management and Responsible Decision-Making.

Class Connect Time

Fifteen one-hour FTGP lessons comprising interaction time and one-to-one interaction with the Form Teacher as well as SEL lessons are structured into the curriculum for the year. FTGP helps to strengthen teacher-pupil relationships and nurture social and emotional competencies in our pupils.

Star Awards

The newly designed Star Awards Noticeboard

Through the ‘The Star Awards Program’, pupils have been motivated to display positive behavior. Pupils with good behavior are recognized with collar pins of different designs once they have accumulated a certain amount of ‘star points’ each term. When pupils have received all the five collar pins, they will be awarded with the Star Trophy as recognition for their consistent good behaviour.
