Admission of students is based on the vacancies available in the school. Students will placed under waiting list until there is a vacancy. School staff will contact the parent should the vacancy arise. Alternatively, parents can register their transfer request in MOE and participate in STEPS. The Student Transfer Exercise for Primary Schools, or STEPS, serves to facilitate the transfer of students who have relocated to another address, to schools nearer to their new residences.

International students aged 6 to 6 + as of 1 January in the year of school admission can seek admission to Primary 1, by registering at the primary school with vacancies during Phase 3 of the annual Primary One Registration Exercise. Admission is not guaranteed as there are limited vacancies remaining for international students after places are allocated to SC and SPR children. In view of this, parents of international students may also wish to consider other educational options such as private schools, even as they may decide to register their children during Phase 3. International students aged 7 and above as of 1 January in the year of school admission, and who wish to seek admission to our mainstream schools, are required to sit for the Admissions Exercise for International Students (AEIS)or the Supplementary Admissions Exercise for International Students (S-AEIS). Admission is not guaranteed, and is subject to the applicant's performance in the test. If successful, placement will take into consideration the available vacancies and the applicant's declared Singapore residential area where possible.
